John Starnes is a southern gospel singer who is very well known in these
parts for his music ministry while with Jimmy Swaggart Ministries during
the eighties. He started off playing in rock and roll bands during the seventies.
When he wasn't trying to get ahead in the rock music industry he was pursuing
his love for flying. Both of these pursuits did not satisfy and John's life
did not take shape until he encountered Christ in a life changing way in
1977. Within a year he was picked up as a singer for an evangelistic team.
In 1991 John's solo
career began to flourish as he ventured out on his own throughout the USA.
John's style of music and ministry has been a source of inspiration for millions.
In November 1996, John gave concert goers in
Grand Falls-Windsor area a performance that many will not soon forget. John
was charming, witty, and uplifting both musically and spiritually.
